1. Data controller

2. The app
MacMeter reads your Mac’s statistics (CPU, memory, network, disk, GPU, sensors, batteries) directly on the device and does not send them to us or to anyone else. The license is verified offline.
If you grant Location permission, it is used only by macOS to reveal the Wi-Fi network name: MacMeter does not store or transmit your location.
3. This website
This website does not use tracking cookies or analytics tools. Our hosting provider may log technical access data (such as the IP address) for security and to operate the service.
4. Purchase and license
Payment is handled by Paddle, which collects the data it needs (name, email, billing and payment details) as an independent controller. Its privacy notice is available on Paddle’s website.
From Paddle we receive your email address and the order reference. We use them to generate your license key, send it to you and provide support. We use the provider Mailronix to send emails, which processes data on our behalf.
5. Legal basis and retention
We process this data to perform the contract (delivering the license) and to comply with legal obligations. We keep it for as long as needed to provide support and for the tax and accounting periods required by law.
6. Your rights
You can ask for access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability of your data, and object to processing, by writing to help@macmeter.app. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
